Mechanical Inspector/Electrical Inspector

Employment Type: Full-Time (Site-Based)

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor all Electrical and Mechanical (MEP) works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and inspection of MEP systems for building projects.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, safety standards, and project quality requirements.
• Review contractor shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and inspection requests.
• Conduct routine site inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical isses.
• Monitor construction progress and report any non-conformance, defects, or delays.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and verify compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved schedules and quality standards.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and inspection documentati
• on.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with strong UAE experience in Building Construction and Supervision projects.
• Proven experience as a Site Electrical Inspector or Site Mechanical Inspector on large-scale building developments.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority regulations, and international standards.
• Experience in inspection, testing, commissioning, and quality control of MEP systems.
• Excellent understanding of contract specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environ
• ment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous consultancy supervision experience in the UAE.
• Experience working on high-rise, commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, or mixed-use building projects.
• Familiarity with Aconex or similar document management systems.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
