Mechanical Foreman role supervising mechanical installation works in an MEP contracting environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installation works.
- Allocate tasks to technicians, pipefitters, ductmen, helpers, and other site personnel.
- Ensure mechanical installations follow approved shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Read mechanical drawings and coordinate with site engineers and other trades.
- Monitor daily progress, manpower productivity, material requirements, and site activities.
- Ensure proper installation of ductwork, chilled water piping, plumbing, drainage, and related mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to resolve site issues.
- Maintain quality standards and comply with site safety procedures.
- Report progress, manpower attendance, material shortages, and site issues to the Mechanical Engineer.
- Ensure proper use, handling, and storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning, and rectification of site observations.
- Maintain good housekeeping and keep work areas safe and organized.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Foreman in MEP contracting; UAE experience is preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting installation works.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical shop drawings and installation details.
- Experience supervising technicians, pipefitters, ductmen, and helpers.
- Good knowledge of site safety requirements, quality standards, and MEP coordination.
- Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage manpower, meet project deadlines, and handle challenging site situations.
- UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Compensation
- Pay starts at AED 2,000 per month.
