A construction team in Dubai is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for building construction projects involving MEP systems, site supervision, and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical MEP work at construction sites.
- Manage installation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
- Review mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and other MEP teams to avoid clashes and delays.
- Ensure work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE regulations.
- Coordinate consultant inspections and approvals; monitor site progress, workmanship, quality, and safety.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in building construction and MEP projects; 3 years of mechanical engineering experience is listed as required.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and consultant inspection procedures.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE experience and current UAE residence are preferred.
