SAFAD Trading Establishment seeks a fire protection design engineer and professional draftsman for end-to-end system design and drafting.
The role covers site survey, initial design, submissions, approval, and final as-built drawings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare concept/design, shop, coordination, and as-built drawings.
- Survey sites, take accurate measurements, and document actual conditions in engineering drawings.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and other fire protection systems.
- Design and select fire pumps, pipe sizes, sprinklers, hydrants, and other system components.
- Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and engineering calculations.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural drawings and resolve clashes.
- Submit designs, drawings, and calculations for consultant and authority review; handle comments, revisions, and resubmissions through approval.
Requirements
- Excellent command of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong fire protection design, engineering drawing, hydraulic calculation, and site survey experience.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and applicable Civil Defence and UAE authority requirements.
- Proven experience with consultant and authority submissions and approvals.
- Able to work independently, accurately, and quickly while meeting project deadlines.
Preferred experience
- Strong UAE or Abu Dhabi experience and a proven record preparing fire protection designs and submissions for consultant and authority approvals are preferred.
Pay
- AED 5,000–10,000 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
