Fire Protection Site Engineer

Role overview

Compensation

• AED 5,000–10,000 per month.

Responsibilities

• Manage fire-fighting work through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Supervise site teams, assign daily tasks, and monitor productivity and progress.
• Ensure work meets approved drawings, specifications, applicable requirements, and NFPA Standards.
• Inspect workmanship, identify defects, plan rectification, and close non-compliance issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly, progress, productivity, material, and outstanding-work reports.
• Manage WIRs, MIRs, RFIs, NCRs, punch lists, and other project documents.
• Review drawings, BOQs, and specifications; plan site resources; coordinate project stakeholders.
• Follow up testing, commissioning, observations, and outstanding work through final inspection and handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least five years of practical fire-fighting project experience; Abu Dhabi experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of fire pumps, sprinklers, hose reels, hydrants, risers, valves, piping, and suppression systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA Standards and ability to identify defects and ensure corrective action.
• Experience in site management, reporting, progress tracking, and project coordination.
• Ability to independently manage site teams and set measurable daily targets.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office; good English for technical reports and correspondence.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Systems and project tools

• Fire-fighting systems include fire pumps, sprinklers, hose reels, hydrants, wet/dry risers, valves, piping, and suppression systems.
• Project documentation includes WIRs, MIRs, RFIs, NCRs, punch lists, drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
