Key responsibilities
- Study and understand project scope and technical requirements.
- Create accurately scaled engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Prepare electrical and mechanical shop drawings following engineer guidelines, and develop coordinated electro-mechanical external services layouts.
- Draft builder’s work drawings and implement engineer-instructed revisions; produce coordinated combined services drawings.
- Generate accurate as-built drawings reflecting actual site installations and maintain backups of Design Engineer-corrected checkpoints.
- Review technical drawings at different stages for design improvements and collaborate with construction and engineering teams.
- Perform additional technical drafting tasks assigned by engineering management.
Requirements and qualifications
- Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Draftsmanship, or a related technical qualification.
- Proven drafting experience in construction or MEP industries; the listed years are an unfilled example placeholder.
- Advanced, expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
- GCC or Qatar experience is preferred.
