The employer seeks a Mechanical BIM Modeler for major international projects.
The role develops, coordinates, and delivers mechanical BIM models while supporting global standards and team collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Develop 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems to LOD 400/500 in Revit MEP.
- Perform clash detection and issue tracking; collaborate across disciplines on coordinated design solutions.
- Review documents, raise and monitor RFIs, and maintain model integrity and timely updates.
- Produce quantity take-offs, schedules, and construction/shop drawings from BIM models.
- Mentor junior modelers and ensure quality and BIM standards; support cloud sharing, issue tracking, and version management.
- Prepare Revit families, manage templates, and improve and standardize BIM processes.
Must-have skills and qualifications
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for mechanical BIM modeling.
- Hands-on experience with BIM clash coordination and federated model management.
- Knowledge of MEP systems, ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and BIM documentation standards.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
Additional skills
- BIM 360 / ACC experience and Dynamo scripting are good to have.
