The Civil 3D Modeler delivers 3D models and supports civil infrastructure projects, with coordination and compliance with international design standards.
Location and work arrangement
- The role is based in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, and is on-site.
Responsibilities
- Develop Civil 3D models of surfaces, corridors, alignments, and dry and wet utilities.
- Design road networks, utility layouts, drainage systems, and site grading plans to project specifications.
- Generate quantity take-offs and bills of quantities from Civil 3D models.
- Integrate point cloud and geospatial survey data into models for spatial accuracy.
- Coordinate models in Navisworks, detect multidisciplinary clashes, and resolve conflicts.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, BIM coordinators, and project managers on design intent and deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks for model accuracy and compliance with international BIM standards.
Technical requirements
- High proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Navisworks.
- Proven experience on Gulf or international civil infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on familiarity with BIM 360 for model sharing and cloud collaboration.
- Strong geospatial data integration and quantity take-off automation capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Education and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least two years of professional experience in 3D civil infrastructure modeling.
