Maximo Functional Analyst

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day functional support, answer user questions, explain functionality, train users, and troubleshoot issues.
• Gather, document, and validate requirements with terminal operations and supporting functions.
• Analyze maintenance and asset-management processes and identify opportunities to improve processes and Maximo use.
• Assess configuration issues and coordinate escalations with technical support or DP World Group Technology.
• Support Maximo Application Suite 8/9 Assets, Maintenance, Inventory, Purchasing, and Mobile modules.
• Define integration business requirements, validate outcomes, and coordinate with technical teams.
• Maintain requirements, process flows, functional specifications, test scenarios, user guidance, and support records.
• Coordinate functional and user acceptance testing, document results, and support production deployment.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, terminal users, technical teams, vendors, and global teams across Vancouver, Dubai, India, and the Americas time zones.
• Follow support, change, documentation, security, and service-management standards and improve the Maximo service.

Qualifications and experience

• University degree or relevant technical diploma in information technology, business analysis, engineering, maintenance management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting IBM Maximo 7.6 and/or Maximo Application Suite 8/9 in a functional analyst, business analyst, or functional consultant role.
• Functional and technical understanding of Maximo configurations and functional issue investigation.
• Working knowledge of Maximo Assets, Maintenance, Inventory, Purchasing, and Mobile modules.
• Understanding of Maximo integrations and data flows; Oracle Fusion, Maximo Integration Framework, Maximo Mobile, or IoT meter integrations are assets.
• Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, process analysis, process mapping, and functional documentation skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, distinguish configuration or process problems from technical defects, and support escalations.
• Experience planning and executing functional and user acceptance testing and supporting controlled production transitions.
• Strong communication skills to support and train users and work with business and technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across locations and time zones.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.

Technical capabilities considered assets

• Maximo application configuration, application changes, workflow enhancements, and automation-script performance tuning are assets.
• Maximo Integration Framework design and development, XML-based integrations, and data conversion or migration are assets.
• Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM WebSphere Application Server, clustering, and JMS queues are assets.
• Java/J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Maximo automation scripts are assets.
• LDAP integration, Kerberos-based single sign-on, and enterprise authentication configuration are assets.
• IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite deployment, infrastructure, or asset-management certifications are assets.
