Material Receiver - Ready Mix

About This Role

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving Materials

• Receive deliveries of raw materials such as cement, sand, aggregates, admixtures, and other supplies
• Check delivery documents (delivery note, invoice, LPO) against purchase orders
• Verify quantities using weighbridge tickets or manual checks

2. Inspection & Quality Check

• Inspect materials for damage, contamination, or incorrect specifications
• Coordinate with QC (Quality Control) team for testing when required
• Reject or report any non-conforming materials

3. Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records of all received materials
• Enter data into ERP system or logbooks
• File delivery notes and supporting documents properly

4. Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement, storekeeper, plant operator, and drivers
• Communicate discrepancies immediately to supervisors
• Assist in scheduling unloading and storage

5. Storage & Handling

• Ensure materials are unloaded safely and stored in designated areas
• Follow proper stacking and storage procedures (FIFO where applicable)
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow company safety procedures during unloading and handling
• Ensure use of PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving and storage areas

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma in logistics or supply chain is a plus)
• Experience in construction or readymix concrete industry preferred
• Basic knowledge of materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures)
• Familiarity with weighbridge operations and documentation
• Basic computer skills (Excel / ERP systems)
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills

Working Conditions
