The Material Engineer performs routine duties under general supervision.
The role applies standard engineering techniques and professional judgment to engineering and construction specifications.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
- Perform walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to confirm they meet specifications and design.
- Conduct quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
- May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to basic engineering and construction specifications.
- Sound professional judgment on details of work.
