The role manages material agreements from preparation and tendering through execution, administration, and compliance.
The position supports material purchasing opportunities, cost optimization, supplier performance, and material availability for end users.
Core responsibilities
- Prepare and develop material agreements through contract preparation, tendering, execution, and administration.
- Implement annual objectives and key performance indicators aligned with department and corporate strategic objectives.
- Conduct invitations to tender, evaluations, and contract awards while maintaining corporate controls and mitigating risk exposure.
- Coordinate tendering and contract compliance to meet end-user material availability requirements.
- Administer agreements to ensure supplier delivery, terms, conditions, and scope comply with QatarEnergy LNG interests.
- Coordinate with expediting teams, vendors, packers, and freight forwarders to achieve sustained, on-time material availability.
- Analyze materials demand, corporate spend, and purchasing trends to recommend buying opportunities and optimize cost.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance service offerings to end users and stakeholders.
- Examine supplier performance and commodity trends to determine negotiating strategies that optimize material cost and quality.
- Prepare for peer reviews and internal and external audits.
Experience and capabilities
