We are seeking an experienced
Master Cutter / Pattern Master
with expertise in
couture, eveningwear, luxury gowns, and high-end party wear
.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who can transform creative design concepts into impeccably crafted garments with exceptional fit, structure, and finish.
โ๏ธ Pattern Development & Cutting
- Create precise patterns from sketches, technical drawings, and draped prototypes
- Draft bespoke patterns using manual methods with exceptional accuracy
- Cut fabrics, linings, lace, silk, organza, tulle, sequins, and other delicate materials
- Modify patterns based on fittings and design updates
๐ Couture Construction Expertise
- Apply advanced couture techniques including draping, moulage, corsetry, and hand finishing
- Develop internal garment structures such as boning, bust cups, crinolines, and bodices
- Ensure flawless fit, comfort, durability, and silhouette
๐ค Collaboration & Quality Control
- Work closely with designers to bring concepts to life
- Guide sewing teams on construction methods and finishing techniques
- Inspect garments to maintain the highest couture standards
๐งต Fabric Knowledge & Handling
- Evaluate fabric suitability for specific designs and silhouettes
- Optimize fabric utilization while minimizing waste
- Handle luxury and embellishment-heavy fabrics with confidence
๐ Fittings & Alterations
- Make precise adjustments based on fitting feedback
- Maintain pattern archives and records for custom clients and repeat orders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Master Cutter, Pattern Master, or similar role in couture or luxury fashion
- Expertise in pattern drafting, draping, and garment construction
- Strong understanding of body proportions, garment fit, and haute couture standards
- Experience with complex gowns, eveningwear structures, and embellished fabrics
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced atelier or luxury production environment
