Mason position in the hotel’s Engineering & Facilities category; non-management role scheduled full time.
Responds to guest repair requests and performs maintenance across hotel facilities.
Maintenance duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspect tools, equipment, and machines.
- Maintain inventory, request parts and supplies, and communicate shift activities and problems.
- Carry out painting, surface preparation, minor drywall and trim repairs, and light-bulb and A/C-filter replacement.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical components, guestroom items, and internet devices.
- Program TVs and perform housekeeping and engineering inventory tasks.
- Repair landscaping and sprinklers; use computers for work information, air-handler schedules, and temperature changes.
- Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance and follow safety, security, and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- A driver’s license is required.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Some general maintenance and surface preparation or painting experience is preferred; hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
- No supervisory experience is specified.
- Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier objects with assistance, and use stairs, ramps, and ladders.
