Marketing Specialist (F&B)

Overview

About the Role

• We are looking for a Marketing Executive with F&B or consumer brand experience who understands how to create demand, build hype, and drive engagement quickly.
• This role is focused on:
• Building SMPL AI’s brand
• Attracting founders and opportunities
• Supporting growth across portfolio companies

Brand & Awareness

• Build and grow SMPL AI’s brand across digital channels
• Create consistent, engaging content that reflects our positioning
• Develop storytelling around startups, founders, and ventures

Content & Social Media

• Manage social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Create simple, engaging content around:
• AI
• startups
• founders
• business building
• Produce short-form videos, posts, and campaigns

Growth & Lead Generation

• Attract founders, startups, and potential partners
• Drive inbound opportunities through marketing campaigns
• Support deal flow through creative outreach strategies

Campaigns & Activations

• Launch marketing campaigns for SMPL AI and its ventures
• Execute partnerships, collaborations, and events
• Run on-ground activations when relevant

Portfolio Support

• Support marketing efforts across SMPL AI portfolio companies
• Help early-stage startups with:
• branding
• positioning
• launch campaigns

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in F&B or consumer brands
• Strong execution mindset (fast-paced, hands-on)
• Experience managing social media and campaigns
• Strong understanding of what drives engagement and attention
• Creative thinker with ability to generate ideas quickly
• Comfortable working in a startup / venture environment

Required Skills

• Experience in startups, F&B, tech, or digital products
• Interest or basic understanding of AI and business building
• Experience with content creation (video/editing/design)
• Experience working with influencers or communities

Preferred Skills

• Someone practical and on-the-ground
• Not overly corporate or strategy-heavy
• Strong ownership and accountability
• Able to execute quickly with limited resources
• Thinks like a growth operator, not just a marketer
