The Opportunity

As a Marketing Coordinator, you’ll join SPE’s global event marketing team to support the successful delivery of SPE’s Middle East event marketing campaigns by coordinating marketing campaigns, creating engaging content and supporting marketing tactics to drive event awareness and revenue.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

It’s a hands-on position where you’ll gain valuable experience across a wide range of marketing activities.

You will also have the flexibility to choose a schedule that allows you to have long weekends with every other Friday off.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE IN THIS ROLE

Event Marketing Planning & Delivery

  • Manage marketing plans, tactics and budgets for smaller SPE events, including workshops and symposiums.
  • Develop the Budget and Audience Allocation Model for each assigned event, ensuring resources are targeted effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with SPE’s global brand and messaging standards.

Budget Management & Administration

  • Update marketing budgets with actual expenses, manage credit card expenses for the Middle East marketing team, and track spending against forecasts to ensure budget accuracy.

Campaign Development & Execution

  • Write compelling email copy and design email campaigns in Marketo to generate awareness and drive registration.
  • Create event marketing graphics in Canva using SPE’s global templates, maintaining brand consistency.
  • Write social media copy to promote event campaigns across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Support event website builds in the CMS system, and regularly update existing websites with content updates, SEO meta titles, and descriptions.
  • Work with external vendors to manage Google Ads and paid social media campaigns, ensuring they align with event marketing objectives and deliver measurable ROI.

Content, Sponsorship & Creative Production

  • Create marketing content such as testimonials, case studies, and feature stories to promote events and highlight value.
  • Develop sponsorship and exhibition brochures and collateral in collaboration with third-party designers to promote partnership opportunities.
  • Support in the production and delivery of all conference programs, including working with design agencies and managing sponsor advertisements.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Set up and manage marketing UTM tracking links to monitor the effectiveness of campaigns across digital channels.
  • Support the setup and tracking of remarketing campaigns to re-engage audiences and drive conversions.
  • Measure and report on the success of campaigns and organic performance using GA4, providing insights to strengthen future activity.
  • Assist with the preparation of post-event reports, consolidating key marketing metrics, campaign insights, and performance summaries.

Project Coordination & On‑Site Support

  • Assist the events team with on-site marketing support, including signage, PowerPoint presentations, and other promotional materials.
  • Create and maintain Monday.com boards for event marketing campaigns to manage tasks, timelines, and approvals.

Your Skills And Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR, or a related field, with
  • 2–4 years’ experience
  • in a marketing or communications role, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of
  • Canva or similar design tools
  • , with the ability to create and adapt event marketing graphics while following brand guidelines.
  • Experience using
  • email marketing or automation platforms
  • (such as Marketo) to build and schedule campaigns that drive engagement.
  • Ability to write clear, engaging copy for
  • email, social media, and event marketing activity
  • .
  • Familiarity with
  • content management systems (CMS)
  • and basic
  • SEO best practices
  • to support and update event websites.
  • Working knowledge of
