Job Summary and Purpose
Manage marine procurement activities for specified categories for Nakilat and applicable joint ventures.
Support contract management, sourcing strategy, performance monitoring, supplier management, cost effectiveness, and value optimization.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage end-to-end contracting activities to improve cost, quality, and overall value across assigned categories.
- Plan, develop, and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage conflicting priorities and changes in demand caused by rapid business growth.
- Optimize existing contracts for efficiency, cost, and value in coordination with Nakilat and joint ventures.
- Identify and execute opportunities for synergies, consolidation, and standardization across joint ventures.
- Obtain end-user buy-in at all stages of contract management to support smooth contract implementation.
- Establish regular KPIs and supplier scorecards using prior experience and lessons learned.
- Optimize supplier databases through internal and external sourcing research.
- Develop an effective supplier relationship management approach.
Requirements
- Experience managing marine procurement activities and related categories.
- Experience managing end-to-end contracting activities.
- Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies.
- Experience managing suppliers, supplier performance, and supplier databases.
- Experience using KPIs and supplier scorecards to support continuous improvement.
- Ability to obtain end-user buy-in and coordinate with joint-venture companies.
