We're Hiring: Mechanical Commissioning Engineer (Marine New Build Projects)
We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
to join our commissioning team and play a key role in the successful delivery of new build marine vessels.
Key Responsibilities
š¹ Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for mechanical systems onboard new build vessels.
š¹ Ensure all mechanical equipment and systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over in compliance with project specifications, ABS/DNV class requirements, client standards, and safety regulations.
š¹ Report commissioning progress, system status, and technical issues to the Commissioning Manager.
š¹ Prepare commissioning documentation, test records, punch lists, and completion reports.
š¹ Participate in commissioning coordination meetings, toolbox talks, HAT (Harbour Acceptance Tests), and Sea Trials.
š¹ Coordinate with shipyard teams, engineering departments, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives throughout construction and vessel delivery phases.
Key Skills & Experience
ā Mechanical systems commissioning in marine, shipbuilding, offshore, or related industries
ā Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
ā HAT & Sea Trial execution
ā Project coordination and progress reporting
ā Vendor and subcontractor management
ā Strong understanding of marine safety standards and commissioning procedures
ā Knowledge of ABS and/or DNV class requirements
ā Excellent communication, documentation, and team coordination skills
