Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable JAFZA, Trakhees-EHS, Dubai Civil Defense and HSE regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities.
- Lead risk assessments, HIRA, JSA and Safe Work Procedures.
- Manage warehouse safety programs including forklift operations, racking safety, loading bays, battery charging areas, contractor management and hazardous materials handling.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
- Manage environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability initiatives.
- Deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness campaigns.
- Lead internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation.
Authority & Accountability
- Stop unsafe work activities.
- Escalate regulatory and compliance risks to management.
- Recommend disciplinary action for repeated safety violations.
- Approve HSE procedures, risk assessments and safety permits within delegated authority.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of HSE experience including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Experience within JAFZA, logistics, warehousing or distribution environments is mandatory.
Mandatory Certifications
- NEBOSH International Diploma (Preferred) or NEBOSH IGC
