Role Description
The Marble Finishing Supervisor/Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This role oversees day-to-day finishing operations, including cutting, polishing, edging, and quality control of marble slabs and tiles.
The supervisor/foreman plans daily workflows, assigns tasks to finishing teams, monitors productivity, and ensures adherence to technical specifications and project timelines.
Responsibilities
include inspecting materials at each stage, resolving defects or processing issues, enforcing safety procedures, and maintaining equipment condition in coordination with maintenance teams.
The role also involves coordinating with project managers and logistics, updating production records, training team members on finishing techniques and standards, and supporting continuous improvement in efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong background in marble or stone finishing, including cutting, polishing, edging, and surface treatment for slabs, tiles, and custom pieces.
- Proven experience supervising or leading production teams in a factory, workshop, or fabrication environment, ideally in the stone or construction sector.
- Solid understanding of quality control processes, ability to read and interpret drawings or templates, and familiarity with dimensional tolerances and finishing standards.
- Knowledge of relevant machinery and tools (bridge saws, polishing lines, edge machines, hand tools), with a focus on safe and efficient operation.
- Ability to plan and organize daily production schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, with experience implementing and monitoring safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate diverse on-site teams.
- Previous experience working in the Gulf region or international stone industry is an advantage; familiarity with Dubai or UAE regulations is a plus.
- Basic computer literacy for production reporting and documentation; experience with ERP or production management systems is beneficial.
- Relevant technical diploma or vocational training in stone, construction, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
