Role Description
The Fitout Supervisor role at GM STONE is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Fitout Supervisor will oversee day-to-day site operations for marble and stone fitout works, ensuring that installation activities are executed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
include coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams, planning daily tasks, and monitoring progress to meet deadlines.
The role involves inspecting materials and workmanship, resolving on-site issues, enforcing safety procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
The Fitout Supervisor will also prepare basic site reports, track completed work, and communicate regularly with management on project status, risks, and required resources.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising fitout or interior construction projects, preferably involving marble, stone, or high-end finishes.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Effective site coordination skills, including organizing teams, planning daily work, and monitoring progress.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and commitment to enforcing site safety standards.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced site environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to build cooperative working relationships with site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Basic proficiency with common office and reporting tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, simple site reports).
- Previous experience in the UAE or GCC construction/fitout market is preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is an advantage; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
