Overview
The Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, tender submissions, and budget analyses for interior fit-out projects.
The role requires strong architectural understanding to interpret drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
Review tender documents, architectural drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for interior finishes, joinery, furniture, ceilings, partitions, flooring, and MEP-related fit-out works.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
Analyze project scope and identify cost risks and opportunities.
Coordinate with design and project teams during tender and execution stages.
Prepare value engineering proposals when required.
Maintain and update cost databases and pricing records.
Assist in preparing variation orders and cost comparisons.
Support procurement and project teams with commercial evaluations.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
Ensure estimates comply with project specifications and client requirements.
