Strategic planning and analysis
- Plan strategic priorities, methodologies, and quality standards for system reviews and strategic analysis.
- Lead integrated project planning, coordinate dependencies, and maintain enterprise schedules.
- Direct analysis of emerging issues affecting ministry and government priorities.
- Recommend strategic priorities, policy options, operational approaches, and implementation considerations to senior leaders.
- Coordinate project interdependencies and planning with Technology and Innovation and business partners.
- Set quality assurance standards for briefing materials, issue analyses, executive recommendations, and decision-support products.
- Direct environmental scanning, jurisdictional analysis, and strategic assessments of risks, opportunities, and trends.
System review function
- Establish governance, intake, prioritization, escalation, and accountability processes for ministry-wide system reviews.
- Determine priorities, resource allocation strategies, and work plans for branch and ministry objectives.
- Oversee system review methodologies, program measures, and performance indicators.
- Ensure reviews align with government priorities, ministry objectives, and executive direction.
- Lead implementation of recommendations arising from reviews and executive decisions.
- Direct cross-functional system review and organizational improvement teams.
