Role overview
Oversees funding from the Victims of Crime and Public Safety Fund to support sound financial management, accountability, and outcomes for victim services across Alberta.

Responsibilities
- Lead financial analysis, grant-cycle oversight, and compliance monitoring for funded organizations.
- Develop and manage funding agreements in line with applicable acts, protocols, and rights requirements.
- Review funding levels for police-based, integrated, and specialized service providers.
- Train municipal and Indigenous boards, CEOs, and CFOs on funding compliance and reporting.
- Monitor program delivery, review financial statements, and recommend adjustments or corrective action.
- Support systemic coordination of victim services and alignment with Alberta standards and policies.
- Supervise the Service Delivery Analyst and support accountability in grant administration.
Minimum qualifications
- A four-year university degree in accounting, economics, public administration, business, or a related field.
- Four years of progressively responsible related experience in grants, contracts, and finance.
- Directly related education or experience may be considered on a one-year-for-one-year equivalency basis.
Assets
- Preference for grants, contracts, and/or finance experience.
- Government of Alberta financial policy and grant-process knowledge, community engagement, board experience, supervisory experience, and familiarity with 1GX are assets.
Compensation
- Salary is $3,148.20 to $4,126.82 bi-weekly ($83,168 to $107,710 per year).
Schedule and employment
- Full-time, permanent position with 36.25 hours of work per week.
