Role overview

Project control responsibilities

• Develop project control systems and procedures at project start and as client requirements arise.
• Determine staffing needs and allocate resources across project phases.
• Lead the planning team on controls procedures, level 1–4 schedules, and reporting systems.
• Prepare and periodically review manpower histograms and progress S-curves.
• Monitor progress through weekly and monthly reports and resolve bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts.
• Coordinate internal reviews and client review of schedules and reporting systems.
• Keep the Project Director or Manager informed of progress and schedule issues.
• Ensure field schedules, resource histograms, reporting systems, commodity databases, and material controls are implemented and reviewed.
• Coordinate project controls interfaces with engineering and procurement.
• Compare actual progress with plans, develop corrective action, and analyze schedule risks and delay mitigation.
• Support continual improvement and complete other duties assigned by the HOD.

Minimum requirements

• Graduate engineer.
• Approximately 20 years of oil and gas EPC industry experience.
• Conversant with projects and execution.
• Experience in head-office and site planning.
