Manager – Plant Workshop

Role overview

Workshop responsibilities

• Manage workshop activities and maintenance programs to improve availability and minimize downtime.
• Oversee maintenance of terminal handling equipment, forklifts, mobile cranes, buses, and other workshop equipment.
• Plan daily work, provide technical guidance, monitor KPIs and costs, and coordinate parts and materials.
• Lead workshop personnel, manage contractors, collaborate across departments, and ensure HSSE compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in workshop efficiency, equipment performance, and asset lifecycle management.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 5–7 years of relevant heavy and mobile equipment maintenance experience; port or container terminal experience is preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience managing or supervising technical maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and preventive, corrective, and predictive methods.
• Ability to analyze KPIs and prepare technical reports; strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Seaport safety and security familiarity is listed; a valid heavy equipment driving license applies where required.
