Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage logistics, packing, sorting, palletizing, storage, and dispatch operations.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Projects, and customers for timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Optimize manpower, equipment, vehicle utilization, routes, and transportation costs.
- Ensure availability of packing materials, consumables, material-handling equipment, and equipment to prevent downtime.
- Lead and develop the logistics team while maintaining accountability and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, housekeeping, and operational controls.
- Manage transporters, proof of delivery records, service-provider bills, and logistics documentation.
- Monitor KPIs, MIS, and operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Find root causes and implement Lean initiatives to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
- Promote safe and compliant operations and a Zero Incident culture.
Requirements
- 12+ years of logistics experience; manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Any graduate or bachelor’s degree.
- Strong knowledge of packing, warehouse, dispatch, transportation, and fleet management.
- Proficiency in MS Office; SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP experience is an advantage.
- Experience with Fleet Management or Transport Management Software.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage pressure, multiple priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
