Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable and ensure timely, accurate invoicing.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances, ageing reports, and collection performance; drive collections and reduce overdue receivables to improve cash flow and DSO.
- Resolve customer billing disputes and account reconciliation issues.
- Establish and enforce customer credit policies, credit limits, and risk controls; review creditworthiness and monitor high-risk accounts.
- Manage bad debt provisions, collection escalations, and recovery actions where required.
- Oversee intercompany receivables, settlements, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate billing, credit notes, debit notes, and revenue-related transactions.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 for receivables, collections, reporting, and process improvement.
- Ensure timely cash application and bank reconciliation and resolve unapplied payments.
- Prepare AR ageing reports, collection forecasts, and management reports; support period-end closing and audits.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Receivable team and develop SOPs to improve efficiency and controls.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Treasury, and Finance; participate in customer and credit reviews and working capital initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and Collections, including 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes, credit risk management, cash application, and collections.
- Hands-on ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
