Lead and continuously improve TAQA Distribution’s data and AI governance framework.
Ensure data assets are well-governed, high-quality, secure, compliant, and responsibly used.
Work with the VP, Data Management to position data and AI as strategic organizational assets.
Data and AI governance responsibilities
- Establish governance policies, standards, processes, and controls and coordinate their adoption across business units.
- Govern data cataloguing, metadata management, and data lineage across the data platform and enterprise systems.
- Define data quality rules, monitor metrics, and coordinate issue remediation across key data domains.
- Oversee responsible AI practices, including ethical, explainable, fair, and compliant model development and use.
- Manage data classification, retention, privacy impact assessments, and consent management.
- Track regulatory developments and coordinate governance framework updates.
- Lead and develop the data governance team and foster data stewardship across business and IT.
People management
- Support continuous improvement, professional development, integrity, transparency, and organizational goals.
- Contribute to talent development, career progression, a collaborative culture, and effective communication.
Competencies
- Data governance framework design and management; metadata management and data cataloguing.
- Data quality management and monitoring; AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
- Data privacy, regulatory compliance, and governance tool proficiency.
- Strategic data management, business value realization, stakeholder engagement, and data stewardship culture-building.
- Continuous improvement and governance maturity development.
Essential requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 9 years of relevant working experience.
Desired requirements
- Master’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent is desired.
- 12 years of relevant working experience is desired.
