Role overview

The role sits in Clio’s Security and Compliance organization and owns business continuity, incident management, and disaster recovery programs.

The manager works cross-functionally with Production Engineering, Corporate Security, IT, Communications, and product teams.

The role owns a roadmap and outcomes, combines hands-on program work with manager-level accountability, and is a backfill.

Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate tabletop exercises and capture gaps.
  • Turn findings from exercises, tests, and incidents into completed action plans.
  • Maintain disaster recovery plans, recovery tiers, RTO/RPO targets, and runbooks.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery tests and circulate results for review and executive approval.
  • Administer incident tooling, including types, severities, flows, escalations, roles, and automations.
  • Track incident trends and metrics and identify process improvements.
  • Own the resilience roadmap and communicate investment priorities.
  • Bring structure to live incidents and escalations using Incident Command.
  • Partner on cyber resilience and recovery planning.
  • Use AI to accelerate work and model effective use.
  • Maintain clear and factual internal and external incident communications.

Required qualifications

  • Hands-on ownership of incident management and/or disaster recovery programs at a technology or SaaS company.
  • Fluency in Incident Command or an equivalent major-incident framework.
  • Direct experience with technology-company Crisis Management Teams and their workflows, training, and testing.
  • Experience writing and facilitating tabletops, driving actions to completion, and coordinating disaster recovery tests through reporting and approvals.
  • Hands-on administration of an incident management platform.
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery fundamentals, including RTO/RPO/RTA, recovery tiers, service prioritization, and backup and recovery strategy.
  • Active, effective use of AI; strong decision-making, communication, and ability to work through ambiguity.

Preferred qualifications

  • Cyber recovery partnership with SecOps/IR, ITIL or major incident practices, blameless post-incident reviews, program metrics, or building a resilience program toward maturity are preferred.
  • CBCP, MBCP, ABCP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ITIL, or PMP certifications are preferred.

Work arrangement

  • Hybrid work is described, with local employees in Calgary and other listed cities expected in the office at least twice per week.

Compensation and benefits

  • Expected salary range is CAD 120,200 to CAD 180,200; placement depends on geography, experience, and skills.
  • Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, flexible time off, an annual CAD 2,000 counseling benefit, RRSP matching, and RESP contribution.
