A primary aluminium manufacturer is hiring a Maintenance Services Manager for its Qatar team.
The manager leads maintenance services at a large-scale, continuous-process aluminium production plant and reports to the Chief Technical Officer.
The role is located in Doha, Qatar.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical maintenance function in a large-scale aluminium production environment.
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, fabrication, machining, HVAC, crane, vehicle, fire-system, and civil/infrastructure maintenance.
- Ensure planned and corrective maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard.
- Drive equipment reliability and plant availability with Operations, Planning, and Reliability teams.
- Improve maintenance programmes and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications and experience
- Have at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 or more years in management.
- Bring a strong technical maintenance background in aluminium, metals processing, or a comparable heavy-industrial environment.
- Have proven experience leading a large, multidisciplinary maintenance team.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or higher.
- Bring expertise in systematic maintenance, asset/facilities management, project management, HSE, and reliability improvement.
- Understand maintenance in aluminium operations; smelter or similarly complex asset-intensive facility experience is preferred.
- Have broad multidisciplinary maintenance expertise, including strong mechanical experience and exposure to electrical, instrumentation, fabrication, machining, and plant infrastructure.
