Maintenance Manager

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of facilities, equipment, machinery, and systems.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and conduct regular inspections.
• Supervise technicians, contractors, and relevant personnel; assign tasks and coordinate schedules.
• Diagnose technical problems, coordinate repairs, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate external contractors, suppliers, and service providers for repairs and installations.
• Monitor maintenance costs and budgets; procure materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service history.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, environmental standards, and relevant regulations.
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues, equipment failures, and facility emergencies.
• Develop SOPs, coordinate work to reduce disruption, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Arrange staff training and report work progress, equipment condition, costs, and outstanding issues to management.

Requirements

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in maintenance, facilities management, engineering, or supervision is advantageous; candidates with relevant technical experience and leadership potential are encouraged.
• Good leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair procedures, and maintenance planning.
• Ability to supervise teams, coordinate contractors, plan and prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to identify technical issues and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, spare parts, and documentation.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and relevant maintenance regulations is advantageous.
• Ability to manage inventory, expenses, and resources; collaborate across departments; and work independently.
• Able to respond to urgent issues and work flexible hours when required.
