Position Summary
Operate a wide range of test rigs and assemble in multiple areas to maximum capacity and produce goods of the highest quality.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate machines following established procedures and standard work instructions.
- Assemble and test all products within all assembly cells.
- Review and ensure all manufactured products meet established quality standards.
- Read and follow instructions on drawings, routings, and ISO procedures to meet time and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment to the company's 5S standard.
- Utilize provided personal protective equipment and safety devices to maintain safety.
- Cooperate with Health, Safety and Environmental programs and follow safe working practices.
- Ensure effective handover to the next shift, especially night or weekend shifts.
- Train other operators in machine use, safety equipment, and product as experience increases.
- Host witness inspections as required.
- Contribute to problem-solving activities and act as an active HPT member.
- Meet production targets in terms of numbers and timescales.
Qualifications
- Able to follow instructions on drawings, routings, setup sheets, and procedures with reasonable literacy skills.
- Knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as laser etch, hard etch, PMI, and test rigs.
- Training in product within the designated work area.
- Ability to set and run all test rigs, including chart recording.
- Ability to work with other team members and willingness to lead when necessary.
- Typically a minimum of 1 year of experience in an assembly role is preferred.
- Instrumentation product knowledge is an advantage.
