Role Purpose
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing transportation, delivery operations, customs clearance, and distribution to malls and warehouses.
The role supervises the company’s drivers, ensures timely deliveries to Dr.
Scent’s retail stands and branches, and guarantees compliance with UAE regulations, cost efficiency, and service quality to support the company’s growth and brand reputation.
Transportation & Distribution
- Supervise daily vehicle movements for deliveries to malls, kiosks, and warehouses.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and meet required quality standards.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Customs Clearance & Shipments
- Coordinate all customs clearance processes for imported goods (aroma oils, diffusers, raw materials).
- Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations and maintain accurate documentation (invoices, Certificate of Origin, MSDS, etc.).
- Follow up with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs agents to secure timely release and delivery of shipments.
- Liaise closely with Procurement and Finance regarding documentation and shipment-related payments. Driver Management :
- Lead, train, and supervise the company’s drivers.
- Prepare daily and weekly delivery schedules and assign tasks accordingly.
- Monitor driver compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Cross-Department Coordination
- Align logistics operations with the requirements of Sales, Retail, Procurement, and Operations departments.
- Support retail expansion projects by coordinating stock and stand deliveries to new locations (malls, kiosks, events).
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding delivery and logistics operations. Cost Control & KPIs
- Monitor transportation and vehicle operation costs, ensuring efficiency and cost savings.
- Track and report logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, transportation cost per unit, route efficiency).
- Recommend and implement initiatives to improve performance and reduce errors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics and transportation (preferably in the UAE).
- Proven experience in managing driver teams and field operations.
- Strong knowledge of UAE traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time delivery performance.
- Driver productivity and compliance.
- Transportation cost efficiency vs. budget.
- Delivery accuracy to malls, kiosks, and warehouses.
- Compliance with safety and service quality standards
