Logistics Sales Coordinator

Overview

• Our company is seeking an experienced and dedicated candidate who can provide vital support to the sales team as a Sales Coordinator.
• We are seeking a candidate who has experience in handling **vehicle/automotive logistics**.
• Prepare freight pricing and cost calculations for import and export shipments.
• Check and negotiate freight rates with various shipping lines to obtain competitive rates.
• Prepare sales quotations for customers using SAP, based on shipment requirements and confirmed freight rates.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with customers and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
• Coordinate with major shipping lines such as Maersk Line, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, COSCO, ONE Line, and Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) for rates, bookings, schedules, and shipment updates.
• Place bookings with shipping lines and follow up for Container Release Orders.
• Coordinate with vehicle showrooms to obtain required documents and arrange guarantee cheques when required.
• Prepare and coordinate all import and export documentation and related certifications.
• Advise customers on Shipping Instruction (SI) details and coordinate with the documentation team until Bill of Lading draft approval by the customer.
• Follow up with carriers regarding shipment updates, schedules, and documentation.
• Verify shipping line invoices and report any discrepancies to the operations team for correction.
• Follow up with customers for payments and coordinate with the Accounts Department to ensure timely invoicing and collection.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Department for the release of the Original Bill of Lading (OBL) or Seaway Bill once payment has been received.
• Follow up with the Accounts Department to dispatch original documents to customers via courier (DHL or other courier services).
• Identify and contact potential clients to generate new sales opportunities and support business development activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service, handling orders, complaints, inquiries, and correspondence.
• Experience in handling shipping documentation such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Vessel Certificates, etc.
• An individual with a strong work ethic, eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address customer complaints effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in logistics as a Sales Coordinator.
• Fluency in English (both **written and spoken) is essential.**
