The Logistic Expeditor coordinates purchase orders, suppliers, client requirements, shipment execution, and delivery tracking.
Responsibilities
- Track purchase orders and resolve delivery issues, shortages, unsatisfactory items, and discrepancies with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate supplier and mill delivery of materials and required documents.
- Manage client post-order requirements, order closure, payment assurance, and delivery-extension discussions.
- Coordinate quality compliance with the technical department and keep shipments within approved budgets.
- Arrange import and export clearance, maintain documentation, and track shipments through delivery.
- Coordinate freight forwarders, transporters, customs agents, procurement, warehouse, and project teams.
- Identify shipment delays, implement corrective actions, and report delivery status and priorities.
- Maintain expediting reports, shipping logs, tracking documents, supplier performance sheets, and weekly delay reports.
- Support customer satisfaction and repeat business from EPC contractors and end users.
Experience and education
- Four years of experience in oil and gas, EPC, or construction is required.
- Two years of UAE experience is required.
- Two years as a Logistic Expeditor in an MEP/EPC company is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
