Quality planning and documentation
- Prepare and review Project Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans, and method statements specific to E&I components.
- Ensure E&I work complies with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and relevant API, ASTM, or ISO standards.
- Develop inspection checklists, test formats, and quality dossiers for project handover.
Inspection and testing
- Inspect E&I components, including instrument cables, junction boxes, cable trays, earthing and lightning protection systems, control panels, enclosures, and valve automation/control loop packages.
- Witness FAT/SAT, loop checking, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients for key inspection activities.
Procurement and vendor surveillance
- Conduct vendor assessments and quality audits for suppliers of electrical components, automated valves, and instrument packages.
- Review and approve vendor QAPs, WPS/PQRs, and manufacturing records.
- Monitor material traceability for items such as explosion-proof fittings and control cables.
QA/QC supervision and project interface
- Lead and mentor site QC inspectors.
- Coordinate resolution of NCRs, RFIs, and quality observations; ensure timely closure of NCRs, CARs, and punch points.
- Liaise with clients and consultants for technical clarifications, inspections, and approvals.
- Participate in internal and external audits, attend quality meetings, and prepare periodic quality reports.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five years of experience in quality planning and documentation, EPC/oil and gas, inspection and testing, procurement and vendor surveillance, QA/QC supervision, and client and project interface.
- English language is required.
