Responsibilities
- Monitor the complete procurement cycle from purchase order placement to final delivery.
- Follow up with suppliers and vendors on manufacturing and delivery schedules; track material manufacturing progress against approved schedules.
- Prepare and regularly update the Material Expediting Status Report, including weekly and monthly management reports.
- Coordinate vendor production, inspection, testing, packing, and dispatch.
- Identify potential delays and immediately escalate them to the Procurement or Project Manager.
- Coordinate with Engineering on approved drawings, technical clarifications, and document requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC on Inspection and Test Plans, inspection requests, FAT, and release documentation.
- Follow up on Material Test Certificates, certificates of conformity, inspection reports, packing lists, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to support timely transportation and delivery to the project or site.
- Maintain purchase order, delivery schedule, vendor commitment, and correspondence records.
- Participate in vendor meetings and progress reviews when required.
- Monitor critical and long-lead items, resolve supplier production, quality, documentation, and shipment issues, and ensure materials meet purchase order specifications and project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two years of experience as a Material Expeditor or Expediting Engineer required.
- Two years of EPC, oil and gas, or petrochemical experience required.
- Two years of experience with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers required.
- Two years of delivery-tracking experience required.
- English required.
