The Loader Operator works under the Site Manager at American Iron & Metal.
The role moves trailers and materials between yard departments, operates equipment, and weighs metals entering or leaving the yard.
Responsibilities
- Receive metals and deposit them in designated locations.
- Unload trailers and perform quality-control inspections.
- Transport containers of non-ferrous material and load ferrous products for customers.
- Perform hardware identification tests using appropriate magnets or products.
- Inventory stock according to the established schedule and perform general equipment maintenance.
- Pick up and deliver trailers for yard departments and perform other related tasks requested by the manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.
- A Class 5 license is considered an asset.
Employment conditions
- Full-time, permanent position; overtime may be required.
- Uniform, personal protective equipment, and boots are provided.
