The employer seeks a Lighting Designer & Estimation Engineer with experience in lighting design, technical specifications, and project cost estimation.
The role develops lighting designs, prepares quotations, and ensures accurate project costing aligned with client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare lighting layouts, designs, and technical proposals based on project requirements.
- Develop lighting calculations, lux-level studies, and simulations using relevant software.
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and lighting requirements.
- Select suitable lighting fixtures and prepare technical submittals.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal sales teams.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations to support competitive pricing.
- Evaluate project costs, material quantities, and installation requirements.
- Provide technical support during project execution and resolve design-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in lighting design and estimation.
- Knowledge of lighting design software such as DIALux evo, AutoCAD, and Relux.
- Experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and commercial quotations.
- Good understanding of lighting fixtures, LED technology, and lighting standards.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and technical skills; good communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates currently residing in Qatar are preferred.
