A Lifeguard in Riyadh is responsible for swimmer safety at aquatic facilities, preventing accidents and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor swimming areas, prevent accidents, and identify hazards.
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid and CPR when needed.
- Enforce pool rules and conduct safety checks of facilities and equipment.
- Assist with pool cleanliness and basic maintenance.
- Communicate with patrons and address their concerns.
- Record incidents, accidents, and rescues accurately.
- Attend safety training and coordinate pool coverage with teammates.
- Demonstrate swimming techniques and water safety practices when required.
Requirements
- Excellent swimming ability and fitness for water rescues.
- Current lifeguard certification and valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of water safety procedures and proficiency with lifesaving equipment.
- Basic pool maintenance and water chemistry knowledge.
- Able to work outdoors in prolonged sun exposure and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous lifeguard experience is preferred; WSI certification is a plus.
- Able to make quick decisions, stay calm under pressure, and maintain focus during long shifts.
