About The Role

Responsibilities

• **Legal Advisory:**
• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on real estate matters, including property acquisitions, development, financing, and property management.
• **Contract Negotiation and Review:**
• Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate contracts, such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, construction contracts, and vendor contracts, ensuring legal compliance and protecting the company's interests.
• **Due Diligence:**
• Conduct legal due diligence on real estate transactions, including title searches, zoning, land use analysis, environmental assessments, and property surveys, to identify potential legal issues or risks.
• **Compliance and Regulations:**
• Stay updated on relevant real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices, ensuring compliance with legal requirements in all real estate transactions and activities.
• **Risk Management:**
• Identify and assess legal risks associated with real estate projects and transactions, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage such risks effectively.
• **Dispute Resolution:**
• Assist in resolving real estate disputes, including tenant disputes, property damage claims, and other legal matters, through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation, as necessary.
• **Legal Documentation:**
• Prepare and maintain legal documentation related to real estate transactions, such as deeds, mortgages, easements, and lease agreements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• **Collaboration and Communication:**
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, project managers, and finance teams, to provide legal support and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies as required.
• **Policy and Process Development:**
• Assist in the development, implementation, and review of fundamental real estate-related policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure legal compliance and streamline operational processes.
• **Legal Research:**
• Conduct legal research on real estate issues, industry trends, and emerging legal developments and recommend potential impact and courses of action to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experiences, Core Competencies

• LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution. A Master’s in Law (LLM) or other relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate law, ideally within the UAE, with a focus on real estate development, construction law, and contract law.
• Strong understanding of the UAE's legal framework, particularly in real estate, property law and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
