Position Overview

Teaching Responsibilities

• Courses may include Algebra and Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I and II, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Numerical Problem Solving, Numerical Methods, and Programming in MATLAB.
• Design and deliver teaching materials using student-centered strategies and appropriate learning supports.
• Create and evaluate authentic assessment tools that validly and reliably measure course learning outcomes.
• Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable students to participate actively in their education.
• Manage learning-environment resources and course portfolio documents for program review and accreditation.

Education and Experience

• A master's degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized institution is required.
• A minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in upper secondary, post-secondary, or higher education is required.
• A postgraduate certificate in education teaching methods or equivalent is desirable.
• Recent, relevant academic or professional experience may be considered an asset.

Teaching and Professional Requirements

• Commitment to applied and experiential teaching and learning pedagogies is required.
• Digital literacy and fluency in a learning management system are required.
• Commitment to continuous academic professional development and lifelong learning is required.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration is required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
• A collaborative and collegial spirit with rapport across learners, colleagues, employers, and community members is expected.
