Role purpose
Take an active, varied role in the daily running of the school and support its service to the community.
Key duties
- Help ensure children are safe and well cared for.
- Take study hall attendance and cross-check pupil registration for accuracy.
- Maintain school database lists, records, and contact details; take and relay communications.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to school leadership.
- Support school marketing and admissions activities.
- Compile ministry-required pupil records manually or online.
- Assist with school cover duties and other tasks supporting daily operations.
Key qualities and skills
- Excellent communication and understanding of English.
- Work independently and quickly with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Liaise professionally with pupils and a range of people inside and outside the school.
- Show initiative, flexibility, and a proactive, positive approach.
Working hours
- Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Friday.
Workplace
- Duties are based in a school setting.
Safeguarding and organizational principles
Staff are expected to identify and follow up on safeguarding and health and safety concerns.
Post holders are subject to appropriate vetting, references, and satisfactory criminal background checks or equivalent covering the previous 10 years of employment history.
