Lead UI/UX Product Designer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead the UI/UX lifecycle from user research and wireframing through high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
• Architect and maintain a scalable cross-platform design system and component library.
• Design AI interfaces including conversational tutors, prompt-management consoles, and citation-provenance review workspaces.
• Conduct usability testing and interviews with faculty and students, then iterate using feedback and analytics.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and instructional designers for accessible implementation.
• Establish WCAG accessibility standards and responsive behavior for low-end devices and varying screen sizes.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of UI/UX and product design experience for web and mobile applications, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Mastery of Figma, including design tokens, auto-layout, and interactive prototyping.
• Experience creating, governing, and scaling design systems across engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience designing complex SaaS workflows, data dashboards, or educational software.
• Degree in design, HCI, computer science, or a related discipline.

Requirements
