Lead Specialist - Logistics

Role Overview

Tendering and Sourcing

• Perform logistics costing during inquiry-to-order and order-to-remittance phases.
• Collect tender and project data before issuing RFQs to transport service providers.
• Analyze offers, request clarifications, negotiate commercially, and confirm complete and compliant quotations.
• Present logistics technical and techno-commercial analysis, risks, contingencies, opportunities, and mitigation plans to project stakeholders.
• Prepare files for mentored negotiations when applicable.

Project Execution

• Maintain project logistics schedules with the project procurement and logistics manager.
• Lead regular project logistics review meetings with project team members.
• Drive timely purchase requisitions and purchase orders for logistics providers.
• Issue packing and marking instructions to procurement teams.
• Issue importation and transport procedures with local logistics teams, customs centers of excellence, and customs brokers.
• Manage equipment delivery to the required destination within the project schedule.
• Ensure timely and accurate release of shipping documents to meet delivery and payment dates.

Compliance and Provider Management

• Ensure international trade regulations and GE Vernova rules are followed before shipping.
• Update shipping progress reports and logistics cost follow-up tools.
• Monitor logistics risks and opportunities and communicate changes to logistics leadership.
• Ensure service providers understand and implement EHS rules and issue method statements for sensitive operations.
• Conduct service-provider review meetings, manage contract non-conformances, and provide performance feedback.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant EPC project logistics experience in Transmission and Distribution, Power Generation, or Oil and Gas.
• Experience managing inbound and outbound logistics workflows.
• Expertise handling ODC, OWC, and general cargo.
• Comprehensive knowledge of customs clearance processes.
• Experience or knowledge of project management, sourcing and procurement, and substation equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work confidently in a highly matrixed organization.
