Field Services Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, refurbish, start up, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade synchronous and induction machines, excitation and AVR systems, or variable speed drive systems.
• Respond to emergency repair and service requests; instruct and assist customer representatives with equipment installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
• Prepare technical, job status, and customer reports, timesheets, and expense sheets; order materials and secure quotations.
• Provide technical direction to skilled labor, follow safety standards, and document work for customer records and future outages.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• New graduate or maximum 2 years of field services experience.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time and possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to work remotely as required; legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction.

Desired characteristics

• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision; strong customer service mindset and organizational skills.
• Prior field engineering and project management experience; strong project management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Work arrangement

• Customer-site field work with approximately 80% travel; remote work may be required.
