Lead Software Engineer role focused on Flowable and end-to-end BPM solutions.
Core qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 4+ years hands-on with Flowable, or Activiti or Camunda experience with willingness to migrate to Flowable.
- Proven production delivery of end-to-end BPM solutions, including embedding, deploying, and operating process engines at scale.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot skills to implement delegates, REST clients, and tests without backend-engineer assistance.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Banking, fintech, insurance, or other regulated financial-services experience is strongly preferred.
- Offshore Development Center or distributed engineering experience is an advantage.
- OMG BPMN certification or Flowable training certification is a plus.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience with Flowable Work and Flowable Engage.
- Exposure to integrating ML inference or LLM-based agents as service tasks within BPMN processes.
- Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX standards relevant to trade finance and correspondent banking workflows.
- Familiarity with the CBUAE Open Banking API framework and its compliance implications.
- Event Sourcing patterns for process-state reconstruction and audit.
- RPA experience with UiPath or Automation Anywhere for legacy-system integration.
Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end BPM solutions in production, embedding, deploying, and operating process engines at scale.
- Implement process-engine delegates, REST clients, and tests using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build BPMN processes and integrate services and systems as required for process solutions.
