Lead Software Engineer (Big Data; SPARK)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development; modernize cloud platforms, containerization, automation, and data processing.
• Build Python, Spark, and Kafka pipelines and integrations across Oracle E-Business Suite, accounting, reporting, and data warehouse platforms.
• Support transaction processing, accounting, reconciliation, and reporting applications; establish engineering standards and operational practices.
• Drive event streaming, DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and deployment automation.
• Resolve complex production issues, ensure security and regulatory compliance, mentor engineers, and partner across business and technology teams.

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
• At least 5 years of Python and object-oriented software development experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Apache Spark experience for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• At least 5 years of technical leadership experience leading complex initiatives and engineering teams.

Desired qualifications

• Experience with Kafka, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, relational databases, or cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, software security, resiliency, monitoring, observability, or containerized deployments.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, enterprise finance systems, accounting processes, financial reporting, or regulated financial services.
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, auditability, enterprise integration patterns, or middleware.

Work arrangement

• Hybrid work schedule with the ability to work in the office.
