Experience and qualifications

• Minimum 12–15+ years in electrical or power systems engineering and strong experience in EPC, EPIC, turnkey, or major infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with HV/MV/LV systems; substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, protection, and power distribution.
• Strong electrical studies experience, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, motor starting, voltage drop, harmonics, and arc flash.
• Experience with ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM, or equivalent; experience coordinating with clients, consultants, OEMs, vendors, construction, commissioning, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with SCADA, EPMS, EMS, IEC 61850, or digital substation systems is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering; knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, and relevant international standards.
• Strong technical leadership, engineering coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Lead power systems engineering and design from concept and FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, load lists and schedules, design criteria, and power distribution philosophies; lead and review electrical system studies.
• Coordinate engineering for substations, transformers, GIS/AIS, switchgear, generators, UPS, batteries, and distribution systems; develop protection and control philosophies and technical calculations.
• Review specifications, data sheets, requisitions, BOQs, vendor documents, and technical bid evaluations.
• Coordinate across SCADA, EPMS, EMS, automation, instrumentation, telecom, civil, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Support FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, testing, energization, commissioning, and handover; provide technical support to project teams.
• Resolve design, construction, interface, and commissioning issues; ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, quality, HSE, and client requirements.
• Lead and mentor electrical engineers, designers, and technical teams.

Preferred industry experience

• Power generation and utilities; power transmission and distribution; oil and gas or petrochemical; industrial EPC/EPIC; infrastructure; data centers; digital infrastructure; renewable energy; large-scale commercial developments.
